Description

Roughly 8 miles south of Downtown St. Augustine in Butler Beach, Mary Street Beach Ramp is an ideal spot for artists looking for an attractive beach scene to paint. Because the parking area is very close to the beach itself, artists only need to lug their supplies a short distance to find an interesting view. The sand dunes are quite tall, allowing for some interesting compositions, and yellow dune sunflowers and orange blanket flowers dot them with bright colors. For those interested in architecture, the beach houses along Gloria Avenue also have a bit of character and area worthy of paintings, too.
