While staying at a hospice in Galway I’m trying to used what I’ve learned painting instead on my iPad.

For no reason at all the sun came out so I wandered about, took a few photos in the fields then came back, sat on the porch and cranked out a painting. This could get to become a very productive habit.

First day, painting outside between quick showers. Tea breaks and sunshine…what a beautiful country! I went off for a pint and sandwiches with a marine biologist and we talked about politics and painting. The afternoon was rained out so we ended up back at the studio for tea and demos.

After a surprisingly easy series of airplane and bus rides I’m finally settled into a nice room at The Burren’s Painting Centre in Lisdoonvera. County Clare, Ireland.
