There’s a Christmas song about wanting two front teeth from Santa.  A grown-up twist and all I want is a chance to paint…and happy holidays, I got it.  So thanks Santa, for giving me the time, space, and quiet opportunity to get this going.

Little gifts… And they have wee-bitty easels to match…  

Sunset over the Intracoastal waterway at Crescent beach.  Acrylic on canvas, Size: 2″x3″. Painted while looking out the window to capture that pink glow of color.

These little paintings were from scenic inspiration at Douglas C. Crane boat ramp at the Shores.  Having good company is a great motivator.

This drawing is of Francis I who ruled France when the explorer Jean Ribault settled Fort Caroline just north of Jacksonville around 1564.  He was ruling when Pedro Menendez settled St. Augustine and faced off with French soldiers to claim Florida as an extension of Spain.  This rendering was from a solid oak carving found…

After thumbing through a book, “Victorian Pictorial Borders” (c) 1984 Dover Publications, this is what I came up with from some of my existing drawings.  Tools: light table, thin point sharpie marker and Prismacolor pencils.
