First Sunday Drawing Session at the City Gates
St. Augustine's City Gates was the venue for our Sunday morning drawing session on September…
Date: Friday, February 1, 2013
Time: 6pm
Location: Ann O’Malley’s, 23 Orange Street, St. Augustine, FL 32084
The first Friday in February is here and with it comes St. Augustine’s First Friday Artwalk. If you’re planning to take part in the event this evening, stop by Ann O’Malley’s Pub on Orange Street at 6pm to meet with the Anonymous Society of Artists art group. We’ll be getting together on the porch to discuss ongoing group projects and upcoming opportunities to show our artwork. Following our meeting, we’ll hit the streets to enjoy the local art on display.
Since Ann O’Malley’s is in the vicinity of the St. Augustine Visitor’s Center, we may choose to swing by the Picasso: Art & Arena exhibit which will now be staying open until 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Other noteworthy venues to visit include the PASTA Gallery where our friend Jim Christley will be showing a new painting; The Standard, featuring a “Floating Art Show” and local musicians; and the Lightner Museum which is opening a new show of works by painter Edwin Augustus Moore.
In other news, please take note that we are changing the location for this Sunday’s 3pm sketch group meeting to Panera Bread. Panera Bread is inside the Cobblestone Village Shopping complex at 600 Tingle Court, St. Augustine, FL 32086, just across the street from our former meeting location of the Hyppo Cafe.
