Lincolnville Farmers Market for Sunday
Date: Sunday, December 16 and 23, 2012
Time: 2pm
Location: Eddie Vickers Park, 399 Riberia Street, St. Augustine, FL 32084
Eddie Vickers Park will be our plein air drawing and painting location for the next two Sundays. Most will know this park as the home of the Lincolnville Farmers Market which runs every Sunday from 11am to 3pm. We’ve scheduled our session at 2pm to overlap with the market’s schedule, so artists may enjoy one of Hugo’s muffins or a tasty pulled pork sandwich prior to getting down to the business of making art.
If you’ve never visited this park, directions are as follows. From the intersection of US1 and King Street, head east on King Street toward Downtown St. Augustine. Since most of Riberia St. is still closed for construction, turn right onto ML King Avenue and travel a little less than a mile. At ML King Avenue’s end, turn right onto Cerro Street, then make a sharp left onto Riberia. Continue on Riberia to find the park and market on your left. You may park either in the paved lot or continue to the end of Riberia to park on the open field. We’ll meet up on the basketball court at 2pm and navigate to a good location from there.
Should the weather be unfavorable for plein air art-making, the Hyppo Cafe on Tree Blvd. will be our backup location for indoor sketching.
