St. Augustine’s Anonymous Society of Artists will have their second meeting on June 17th, Friday, at the location at 3 Cordova Street, St. Augustine FL, 32084. This location is the Ripley’s Red Sightseeing Train building next to Ann O’Malleys downtown St. Augustine.

We will be discussing Michelangelo’s statue of David carved from Carrara marble of Tuscany in the 1500s. Participants are invited to share their drawings and we encourage you to draw a portion of the statue of David and bring it to the workshop for a special artist collage. Make a copy of your work for this collaboration project. St. Augustine’s statue of David can be found at 19 San Marco Avenue, 32084.

He is located behind the tall hedges and is one of only two that exist as exact replicas of the original. The other statue is in Australia. Learn more details about St. Augustine’s David at our workshop.

Both artists and art lovers are welcome to participate. Admission will be $2.00 for artists and $5.00 for those who love art.
