San Sebastian River View for Sunday Afternoon

As a change of pace from our regular morning plein air sessions, the Anonymous Society of Artists’ next drawing and painting session will be tomorrow afternoon at 3pm. The parking lot of First Southern Bank offers a splendid view of the San Sebastian River, the boats docked along its banks and the Downtown St. Augustine skyline. Since the view from the lot will be to the east, meeting in the afternoon will put the sun behind us.

First Southern Bank is close to the intersection of State Road 207 and US-1. To get there from the north end of town, travel south on US-1. You’ll pass Oyster Creek on your right, a Sunoco gas station and AutoZone. Once you pass the Showboat Car Wash, get in the left turn lane and turn left into the parking lot of First Southern Bank and Papa Johns. To get there from the south end of town, travel north on US-1. You’ll pass the Home Depot, Target and Dunkin Donuts. Just after the Winn-Dixie, turn right into the First Southern Bank and Papa Johns parking lot.

The following Sunday morning, March 23, we’ll revisit the Lincolnville Community Garden in the morning.
