Shore Drive and Mimosa Road this Sunday and Next

Having explored a few different locations along Shore Drive, our next plein air painting location will be a section of Shore Drive that is about one mile north of our last painting location near Unicorn Road. This spot offers a fair amount of shade and tranquil views of the Matanzas River. We’ll work here this coming Sunday and next, November 10th and 17th.

To get there from the intersection of US1 and King Street, travel south on US1 for roughly 3 miles. You will pass Target, Flagler Hospital and Wal-mart. After Wal-mart, stay to the left of US1 South. Once you pass the Kia Dealership and Aamco Transmissions, get into the left turn lane and turn left onto Gerona Road. Stay on Gerona Road a little less than a mile. Gerona will bend to the right. After the bend, take the first left onto Swallow Road. Where Swallow intersects with Shore Drive, turn right onto Shore Drive. Follow Shore Drive around the bend and park on the left shoulder of the road near Mimosa Road. We’ll work under the stand of trees there. View these directions on Google Maps.
