Spring 2013 Schedule of Events

The Anonymous Society of Artists’ spring schedule will begin this Sunday and will include our usual mix of outdoor painting events, indoor drawing sessions and monthly group meetings.

Just a few minor changes will be made to the pattern we followed in our winter schedule. First, we will be switching the time of our plein air painting sessions from 3pm on Sunday afternoons back to 9am on Sunday mornings. We will continue to spend two Sundays at the same outdoor location, however, we will schedule just one indoor sketch session per month. Indoor sketch sessions will be kept at 3pm on Sundays. Lastly, because we customarily hold our monthly meetings during the First Friday Artwalk, no event will be scheduled on Sundays which follows the Artwalk.

Below is our complete schedule. Prior to each event, details will be posted on our website and sent to our list of email subscribers.

Imagination vs. Logic Exhibit at the Hyppo Cafe Downtown – April 5
To support Melissa and Damon Roby’s effort to open their Red Sable Art Supply store here in St. Augustine, our artists have submitted artwork for their Imagination vs. Logic Exhibit which will open during the next First Friday Artwalk. We will also hold our monthly meeting at the Hyppo Cafe Downtown to show our support.

One Spark – April 17 to 21
Both Melissa and Damon Roby and Anonymous Artist Kevin “Big Poppa K” St. Onge will be participating in this incredible crowdfunding event up in Jacksonville. Melissa has graciously invited us to display artwork at their venue.

Romanza Festivale – May 10 to 19
The Anonymous Society of Artists designed the official poster for this week-long festival, so there may be an opportunity to display and sell our own artwork during this event.

Ancient City Pride Festival – Middle of May
We were granted the opportunity to display and sell art during this festival last year and we hope to be invited to their 2013 event. No date has been set yet, but the festival took place on May 12th last year.

Art Unleashed – Middle of May
Our artists have donated art for this Jacksonville event in past years. No official date has been set for the 2013 Art Unleashed event in Jacksonville, but last year it was held on May 17th.
