Watch for “The Red Sable Art Supplies and Inspiration”, an art supply store which will offer high quality artist supplies at reasonable prices which is slated to join the shopping mecca at SR 312 and US 1. The owners are a great husband and wife team looking to add more cohesion to St. Augustine’s artistic community. Show your support by liking them on Facebook.
November through December, 233 West King Street Gallery will host a show of artwork done by the local scene with attention to Flagler College students and local artists who want a chance to show original artwork which has never been shown before. The concept is a group show of one to two pieces per artist. Contact Yvette Monell Richardson for details at 233 West King Street.
Featured at 233 West King this month is Botanical Art Cells Patterns and Forms by Terry Ashley. Ashley is a retired genetic researcher with an undergraduate in botany. She creates art in Gainesville, FL. Check out how she merges slides of cellular plant structures with photos of native plants. It’s amazing.
