Eagle Creek for Tomorrow

Our next plein air drawing and painting location will be inside the Eagle Creek community which is just about a mile north of the airport. This is the furthest north of town we’ve traveled so far, but the vistas here are well worth the trip if you can make it.

To get there, travel north on US-1 toward Jacksonville and pass the airport. Just after Village Academy’s sign, turn right onto Island Landing Drive and enter Eagle Creek. Continue on Island Landing Drive for about a mile and the paved road will eventually turn to dirt, opening up to some gorgeous views of natural splendor. Go a little further on the dirt road until you find a wider area to park off on the side. Weather permitting, we’ll work here next Thursday as well.
